The Season That Is
Ok, we're half way through the 2007 season, and I'm going to give my grade to each team - I mean, each of you teams, including my Golden Buzzards. Who should I do first?
Ole Miss (3-7)
Poor Ole Miss. They keep coming close to getting that first SEC win, but it keeps eluding them - it's that or they get stomped in the ground, and it doesn't look any better for them as they play LSU next weekend. Their hope is to end the Bowl chances of State at season's end and hope they find a coach during the off season. Grade: F-
Alabama (6-3)
I have to say I have been impressed with the way the Tide have played this season. They are scrappy and could have easily won two out of the three games they lost. Grade: B+
Southern Miss (5-4)
What could have been for the Eagles - a chance to yet again set themselves apart from the rift raft of C-USA and they blow it. Never mind they've been through each QB six times - losing to Rice is embarrassing. If anything, maybe Bower has learned that the screen pass does not work on each set of downs. New Orleans Bowl here they come. Grade: D+
Tennessee (6-3)
The question for TN has been - which team will show up this week? They play great one week and lay an egg the next. They have the talent, but forget to show up with the heart. They play there sister this weekend, Arkansas has had the same issue. Still, I expect one to get blown out.
Grade: B-
Mississippi St. (5-4)
They're one game away from the Liberty Bowl - now they have to survive and not have a let down against the Reb's. I have to say - I have been somewhat impressed with the fire that MS State has played with this year - it seems as if they're tired of being called nobody's and are scrapping for a Bowl appearance. Grade: B+
Miami (5-4)
Both the wins and losses have been ugly for the Hurricanes. I think they will limp into a Bowl game due to their athletic ability. Not saying they haven't had a few good wins - Texas A&M coming to mind - then losing to North Carolina ruins that. Grade: C
Florida (6-3)
That record is not bad considering the level of teams they play, plus how young they are - I mean, no one expected them to repeat. Look for good things next year - well, if they don't kill Tebow before then. Grade B+
Georgia Tech (5-4)
They are unpredictable as well. The one thing you can predict about GT is that they keep the ACC grade point average up. Grade: C+
LSU (8-1)
The Tigers are tough and have came through with some big wins, but they're not that darn good. I predict they will lose again before the 2007 season is out, maybe in the SEC Championship game. Grade: A-

Every year we have a weak a$$ sched. Every year we find a way to blow it. Every coach Bower and his drones show up with the damage control. I don't care about coach of the year in the 90's, I don't care about a "COUPLE" of stupid CUSA championships, I don't care about winning seasons agianst a bunch of pu$$ies.......... ahem pan$ie$. Bower has to go.

I give Crooms all the credit in the world. He inherited the worlds worst football team. NCAA violations, losing seasons, ugly girls, booing fans, and cowbells. He has scratched a team together amid all this. He has them believing and playing WAY above their heads. Good job Sly. We'll take Croom.... yall can have Bowah.

These guys can't play football.... seriously. The guy that writes their spot in the Clarion Ledger has just given up reporting football. He's moved on to BASEBALL!!!!! <--- This isn't a joke. They have zero SEC wins.... hell we could do that. anybody could do that. Someone please show these guys the door. The egg bowl should be a blow out. I'm going with the puppies all the way.

They are doing better than I expected. Beat LSU and you'd have got an A. Your still a bunch of cheaters...... you just can't afford to pay the refs and Saban too.
LSU - B
All that talent...... all that money...... all those fans..... all that support.... all that history.... only school in the state..... i could go on.... but it won't matter: you still lost.
USC - F
fake football is played in california. USC is really just an acronym for.... well its in cali you can figure it out.
Florida GAYtors - C
Tebow was supposed to be the "great one." 6 - 3 CHOMP ON THAT!
Florida State Criminoles - C
You guys don't matter to me anymore.
Tennessee Holering Queers - F
See LSU above. You beat us. At least you should go on and be undefeated then win the whole damn thing like UF did last year after whippin us. GEEZ....
Auburn - F

If you like these guys, your team really is a bunch of criminals.
Michigan - F
I don't care what you do.... say.. or who you beat. App State can still take you.
West Virginia - F

As you can tell i'd give just about everybody an F.
All those teams suck. Everyone knows real football is played in the Big 12.
Southern Miss...probably finishes 7-5. will hopefully be enough to save Bower's job. I am not sure which way to lean on this sometimes but I am pretty sure that whoever USM would bring in would not automatically make them the CUSA champion or a "BCS buster" so I say leave him for a few more years and see if he digs his way back to the top. C-
MS State - haha! the champions of alabama! defeated AU, UofA and UAB. impressive guys! and dang sure was entertaining. good job Croom. don't screw it up by losing the Egg Bowl. B+
Ole Miss - Yall suck! that's all I got.F
Alabama - you paid a guy that much to be mediocre...congrats. probably looking at trip to the music city bowl or something. C+
LSU - Did you really lose to Kentucky? who lost to South Carolina...who lost to Vandy. All that talent...such a badly coached team. B
Florida - Will be very scary next year if they find a running back besides Tebow. B
UGA - love watching Moreno run. Kid will be a legit back for a long time if he stays healthy. B
UT - Young guys at the skill positions so have been really terrible away and just barely good enough at home. B-
leaving out someone....Auburn. will be glad when a new QB is under center. Can probably still go to Cotton Bowl if they win out. Bet Saban is hoping Tubby leaves for Texas A&M.
Canes - embarrassing way to close down the O.B. Wonder how happy Larry Coker is now that he isn't being associated with this breakdown.
Arkansas - DMac...take the money and run!
Final thoughts: Go Michigan. If they beat the Buckeyes it means that App State deserves to be in the Rose Bowl. Would be awful to see Oregon and UM rematch there. Pulling for LSU to lose in SEC championship (and every other game). Kansas to lose to Mizzou. Mizzou to beat Oklahoma in Big 12 championship. Michigan beating Ohio State and Oregon State beating Oregon. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors playing for the BCS championship baby!!
I'd like to see the Jayhawks play West Virginia with the Jayhawks winning it all. Sucking for so long they deserve it.
Boise State is my BCS champ.
