FOOTBALL EVERY NIGHT!
I'm not sure if it's good for the players and coaches, but as football fans you have to be excited about this week. Every night when you get home from work there will be college football on TV. C-USA gets going tonight with Marshall vs Memphis. Wednesday Rice @ Southern Miss. Thursday is the best of the mid-week games. Kentucky @ South Carolina. Friday could turn out to be interesting with Utah @ Louisville.
The SEC has another exciting week coming up as Kentucky (5-0) gets to show if they are really a contender for the Eastern title this year. Georgia @ Tennessee. Each team has 1 loss in conference already making this game a must have for both. The youth of Florida showed up last week against a good Auburn defense. Florida gets another huge challenge this weekend at LSU. Vanderbilt @ Auburn is the early game Saturday. Auburn had a big "oops" against MS State early in the day. Vandy could stick around for a little while in this one.
My Picks
South Carolina 45 Kentucky 42
Auburn 27 Vanderbilt 13
Georgia 35 Tennessee 27
LSU 24 Florida 17
Ole Miss 28 La Tech 10
Houston 27 Alabama 20
MS State 31 UAB 17
Arkansas 55 UTC 13

I picked your damn Vol's in my office pool, so they better not let me down. I'm suprised to see you voting against them.
Now come on BOC - you need to start adding Southern Miss on there.
not sure who i would pick in the USM game. they are starting a freshman at QB. DUDE I WANNA GO TO THE ENDZONE!
Ha, I'm done watching the buzzards - that was the most embarassing loss in school history...umm, a $1.50 draft would be nice.
Do the pollsters not EVER watch football?
1. LSU...would have lost on neutral field
2. CALIFORNIA...will last til they play USC. Not a good defensive team.
3. OHIO ST...you honestly think they could beat Florida or Oklahoma?
4. BOSTON COLLEGE...overrated but doesn't matter because ACC is down this year.
5. SOUTH FLORIDA...again, do you really think these other 4 teams are the only ones who could beat them after the scare by Florida Atlantic?
6. OKLAHOMA
7. SOUTH CAROLINA
8. WEST VIRGINIA
9. OREGON
10. USC...haha! made my weekend!
11. MISSOURI...have impressed me with improved defense
12. VIRGINIA TECH
13. FLORIDA
14. ARIZONA ST...need to play someone so I can be sure.
15. CINCINNATI...had a big win
16. HAWAII...gave up 41 to LA Tech who Ole Miss shut out. Are they even top 25 worthy? Could Hawaii beat anyone in the SEC?
17. KENTUCKY...why were they ever #8? who really thought Kentucky's defense was gonna keep them winning?
18. ILLINOIS...my sleeper to win the Big 11(aahheeemm!)Big 10
19. WISCONSIN...slow defense just like Michigan that was exposed by athletic QB
20. KANSAS...impressive Saturday
21. FLORIDA ST...getting better
22. AUBURN
23. TEXAS...Good showing in Dallas
24. GEORGIA...ok how in the hell are they above Tennessee? please tell me!
25. TENNESSEE
I realize that you wanna let records play a little bit of a role in rankings but you can't this year. When ranking teams you should ask yourself who would win on a neutral field? So what if Florida has 2 losses? The 12 teams ahead of them could not all beat them. USC was a 41 point favorite over Stanford. Michigan was same over APP State and dropped completely from polls. Why the hell is USC still number 10? Oh yeah, because the media has a love affair with Pete Carroll. For those who really want a laugh, you should look at the Coaches Poll.
Auburn beat Florida at Florida and is 9 spots below them??? Yall know how I feel about Tennessee vs Georgia. Why, after Stanford beat USC...in Los Angeles...USC is 10, why isn't Stanford 9? My 2 misses on picks for the weekend surprised me. I really though I had a shot to get them all this week. Houston was sooo close! And Tennessee, when did yall learn how to run the football like that? Better yet, when did the defense get so much fast and learn to tackle? Thank God for bye weeks is all I can say.
None of it is real......
It's like WWF... er WWE
and NASCAR.
