Bobby Labonte moves from Gibbs Racing to drive the legendary #43 car for Petty Enterprises. Last season Labonte could never find consistency and did not find victory lane for the second year straight. The 2000 Champion hopes that he can bring an experienced yet successful driver to the #43 and try to get Petty Enterprises in victory lane.

It is obvious that Petty Enterprises is trying to make the Necessary changes in the organization to get their teams to a competitive caliber. Furthermore, it helps when you bring in an experienced driver like Labonte to pilot your team. I expect to see improvements out of this team. They will not make the chase but should surprise with a few good runs in the #43.
