Denny Hamlin 2006 Preview
The #11 team started 2005 with high expectations, relying on driver Jason Leffler, but unfortunately the team was unable to get on track and for the rest of the season various drivers took turns in the car (Terry Labonte, J.J. Yeley, & Denny Hamilin). In 2006 Denny Hamilin starts his official first year at Joe Gibbs racing piloting the #11 Fedex Chevy. Denny ran a few races at the end of the season for the team and did well in most of those starts, but will he be able to keep it going in 2006?

Denny Hamilin ran decently in the Busch series but was unable to pick up a victory for his team. The good news is in seven starts in the Cup series he ran in contention in quite a few races. Denny could find himself in the hunt for the Rookie of the Year honors and could even challenge for a victory in a few races. The one fact will be that the #11 team will have a real full time driver in 2006.
