An unexpected winner in 2006 Bud Shootout

The 2006 Bud Shootout was as exciting as many thought it would be but in the end it was an unexpected rookie that took the checkered flag. Rookie Denny Hamlin (with a little help from teammate Tony Stewart) used patience to move his way through the field eventually finding himself in first with 10 laps to go. A late caution put him on the outside row of his teammate but on the restart Hamlin took the lead and help off a late charging Dale Jr. for the win.

Looks like everyone made the wrong selection but that's the joy of restrictor plate racing, anyone can win.
